Agrarian Sector in Spain Increased by 5% in 2017

In 2017, the value of the agrarian industry in Spain increased by 5% on a year-to-year basis. According to the data provided by the Ministry of Agriculture in Spain, the agrarian sector accounted for EUR 49.2 billion at the level of 2017

This sector is highly represented by the production of meat. The best performance on the animal production in Spain was observed for pigs and poultry meat (increase of 10.2% and 11%, respectively). At the same time, a high increase of the agrarian production was recorded for eggs, which increased in value by 25.3% on a year-to-year basis.
