The annual growth rate for 2017 was 3.1% in Spain, after a well-performing final quarter. During the last months of the year, the economy expanded by 0.7% compared to the third quarter in 2017.
A positive evolution was also recorded for the business turnover index. In November, the index registered a 1.8 percent growth, compared to the month of October and after the adjustment for seasonal and calendar effects. The annual rate had a value of 7.3 percent, with four business sectors showing a mentionable performance. These sectors are the supply of electric power, water, sanitation and waste management, commerce, non-financial services, extractive industries, and manufacturing.
